Lucky – Stu & Arleen

I’m lucky.

I know this because I have the most amazing couples ever!  They’re the kind of couples that I go to meet for a quick cup of coffee, and I end up leaving a few hours later feeling as if I spent a night out with friends.  It’s strange when I think about it. Strange to even talk about it really because it sounds, well, weird. But, it’s true.

When I met with Stu and Arleen for the first time, we sat over a cup of coffee and talked about life, love and how they got to where they are now. Minutes turned to hours, and  I just couldn’t help but fall in love with them a little.  Their expressions, the way they spoke to and about one another, and their candid-ness with me made me feel as if I had known them for years. My love affair with them started there but it had continued with the fast and funny e-mails Arleen and I would exchange about wedding details and the engagement outfit selections.

When I met up with them for the engagement session I was beyond excited. We got lucky with the amazing weather, we got lucky with the locations…and we got lucky for being able to catch the sunset.

As luck would have it they were pretty lucky in love too.

Her name is ‘Seri’. As in ‘Serious’.

He got her an engagement ring and she got him a Harley.

We did a quick jog down to Tobay Beach just as the sun was setting. This was taken about ten minutes later than the above image but was facing the other direction.

   

They ran waaay faster then me. I was about 400 feet away and peeking through the cattails at them. I thought it might make a fun abstract-ish picture. However, we couldn’t hear each other from where we were and I couldn’t get ‘Seri’ to move over at all.

I didn’t want to make them the butt of a joke….but(t)……this made me chuckle a bit.  ; )

I’m thrilled to be a part of your upcoming happy day! I’m just giddy over the bonfire and “Hangover Session”. September will be here before we know it. I can’t wait!
