The “Kingdoms at War” site.
Yes. It all began there. On an iphone app.
Over 3,000 miles away from one another they fell in love. Over the internet. Playing an iphone game. Talk about random. ; )
Now, some might laugh at the impossibility of it all, and some might call it serendipity – I look at it as a magical story that they one day can share with their children and grandchildren.

He spoke about the endless train ride from NYC to Long Island, not from England to NY. The last hour was pure torture. He spoke about the trepidation and his nerves.
It was raining as Eva stood on the train station platform hidden by an umbrella. He was coming to meet his wife for the first time. She didn’t know that yet, but he was absolutely positive of it.
When he saw her for the first time and went in for the kiss, she gave him her cheek.
Rich told me (in his ohhh so adorable accent with a hint of sarcasm), that it was ‘f-ing’ brilliant’.
Needless to say, things took a turn in Rich’s favor and they have been together ever since. After a brief stint in England, they moved back to the states and have been planning their winter wedding at a rustic castle in CT.

I believe in gut feelings. I believe we all have them. I think sometimes we try to ignore it. We feel foolish, like maybe it’s wishful thinking. We, as a society are sometimes skeptical, but who are we to judge. Whether it’s love at first sight, or at one month, six months or one year – it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that moment you are with them and the rest of the world seems to vanish.
“Falling in love is very real, but I used to shake my head when people talked about soul mates, poor deluded individuals grasping at some supernatural ideal not intended for mortals but sounded pretty in a poetry book. Then, we met, and everything changed, the cynic has become the converted, the sceptic, an ardent zealot.”
Here is hoping we all greet each new day as if it was love at first sight for us…taking in a moment for all that it’s worth – like Eva and Rich.
The promise…
Such fun invites!
Where it all began…
Anyone ever been to the Kings Park Psych Center?! The next few images were taken there.
Outfit change and different location…
Close up shots can be a little intimidating, but I love them.
I love the moment before a kiss…
