Best Friends – Kevin + Shaina – Sunken Meadow Park

I was listening to the radio in my car on the way over to the wedding venue when the dj said the heat index was 105. I looked down at my dashboard quick, and was a bit relieved to see it read 98. It was hot. Realllly hot.

Looking back to their day now, you would think that that would be one of the main things I would remember, but oddly it’s not.

What I do remember was the way that Kevin and Shaina looked at each other. I remember the way he made her laugh, and that they never complained once while in their wedding attire on the beach in the mid-day sun.  They were happy. They were content…as was everyone around them. Their relaxed and laid back dispositions made you feel instantly comfortable.

 I watched them taking the day in…rather than watching the day go by.

 They were enjoying their day…together. They’re not just husband and wife…but better yet – best friends.

I think their wedding song summed it up perfectly:

Shaina and Kevin decided to do a first look. I can’t even begin to tell you how smoothly it makes the day run. Not only is that a photographer’s dream, but 15 minutes before the ceremony they asked if we can jump in the car and head down the road for some more pics!!  Heck yeah!

They totally knocked it out of the park in the ten minutes we had.

It’s soooo fabulous to be able to have 15 minutes away from the party with just the couple to let them enjoy some time taking it all in.

I usually don’t post the wedding party, but I didn’t think they would mind me showing you their shades and fun sun dresses.

It felt just like we were on an Island. Errr..we are on an Island…you know what I mean…some place tropical. ; )
