I had to retain myself from spinning and singing "…the hills are alive with the sound of music."
It was that kind of place, that kind of joy, that kind of love that makes your heart kind of want to explode. No joke.
Below is their story.
Enjoy!
Matching robes!
a moment in between…
Don't you just want to be her best friend?
Bright and cheery.
I ADORED how they matched perfectly to her invite. AH!
A simple relaxed portrait before the hoopla begins…
While I was taking photos of the bouquet in an adjoining room, I peeked through the doorway and saw this pretty moment with Jesse and her flower girl.
Love the happy pop of color and the grey suit.
First look.
The anticipation was killing her. I made her wait, for like 5 seconds.
I know. You can't help but smile along, right?
That's their thing. He kisses or bites her nose.
Jesse and Steve left plenty of time in their schedule so we could roam the property in the golf carts.
Thank goodness, cause those golf carts have a mind of their own! ; )
It was super sunny, but we found some relief under two lazy weeping willows.
Mmm. I love these types of moments. When you have the couple in the right place and there is great chemistry. The 'in between' moments become, the moment.
Who doesn't love a black and white photograph.
Love how his eye is smiling, hinting to what the veil is hiding.
Smilekiss – my fave.
The view was incredible…the wind…not so much.
Annnd this is why I love her. The girl knows how to make any situation…better.
One of my favorites….
Mustaches were kind of a theme.
I love when siblings get a bit silly…
DYI!!
Super cozy spot…
with loads of fun sneak peeks at the scenery…
I wanted to take that arbor home with me.
Taking in the moment as she walks down the aisle with her Daddy.
They read their own vows!
Happiness!
The great thing about having a second photographer is the different perspectives like below. Same picture as above, but from the view of Mom and Dad.
Husband and wife!!
The new Mr. & Mrs.
You want the arbor too, right?!
The Garrison!
Love the unique seating cards. The table themes were special places Jesse and Steve love!
the view…
I LOVE when all the details coordinate, as in Jesse and Steve's case (such as the stationery, cake, centerpieces, flowers).
It looks so cohesive when designing the album.
The PARTY begins!
Such incredibly heartfelt toasts. Their words made you fall even more in love with Jesse and Steve.
One of my favorite parts was when Jesse's brother went to make a speech during a later part of the night which was rather rowdy.
Not being able to get the rooms attention immediately, his quick wit brought a big laugh, when he said…"I'm a teacher, I can wait here all night."
Tears….
and hysterics…
Daddy and daughter…
The song started off with one of Steve's favorites and changed halfway to a song his mother loves.
Mom's siblings watching…
I can't tell you the amount of fun the guests had with the mustaches.
Caught ya!
Group hug!
Snuck out for a quick sunset shot!
Back inside to celebrate some more!
Belting out, Paradise by the Dashboard Lights with her Dad and brothers!
Some Cortland LOVE!
Sweet kisses!
After the last song…anyone who is left on the dance floor jumps in for one last shot.
Jesse and Steve, you know how much I love you both.
Thank you for sharing your happiness with me and making my life and heart fuller because of it.
P.S
Special thanks to Manhattan Bride Magazine for publishing Jesse and Steve's wedding!
I haven't seen it yet in person, but Jesse took a quick shot below:
