I have the coolest brides ever. No. Seriously. I do.
I LOVE all of those charming ‘DYI’ (do it yourself) projects that seem to be all the rage in wedding magazines and blogs these days. But I’m going to be super honest when I say that I cringe, or is it twitch at the thought of actually creating those kinds of things. I mean, I’m all about being creative, but give me some hot glue, or a needle and thread and I can break into a cold sweat. I’m probably the least domestic person you will ever meet, so maybe that’s why I have such an un-healthy obsession with Etsy.
I adore people who inject their personality into their wedding day…or really anything. Be it decorating a home, or perhaps rockin’ some fabulous frocks. Hand-made is just…special. I like that there was a person behind that item who put a little piece of themselves into it.
I love pretty things. I love things that are unique. I love the idea of personalization, and I especially love when folks are brave enough to walk to a different beat.
When I received a ‘save the date’ from one of my up-coming August brides, Devin, I grinned from ear to ear. It was sooo her! It was the perfect piece to set the mood for their rustic, charming, happy day.
The magnets were all done by hand. Hand stitched, hand stamped, and hot glued to perfection. They made me giddy, and I was hoping to pass along some giddiness to you today.
Enjoy!

Stacy, here you go again, creating another winner of a site and business. You are creative beyond imagine, and it is through your photos, what you and only you can capture and your blogs have me coming back for more. P.S. I love this font.
Thanks Lea for taking a peek and for your kind words! : )
This save the date is really pretty awesome. Will have a look again and hope, you post bit more…
Thanks so much for stopping by! The bride came up with the idea herself. Pretty neat, huh?! I just checked out your blog and you have some great stuff going on there!
Hope to see you back soon. This upcoming week I will be posting about the Etsy Event that just happened in NYC (that I had the privilege to photograph)!
Thank you, Stacey, for such nice comments! I’m flattered 🙂 The photo is amazing!!

Stacey,
Thank you for posting Devin’s lovely Save The Date. She received many compliments from family and friends about her creation
. Did you know that Devin marks the fourth generation of women in our family who honor the art of stitchery? I am certain that her great grandmother and grandmother are looking down on her with genuine smiles and joy for carrying on the traditions of the family.
Carol,
I adored the fabulous ‘save the dates’. I couldn’t help but give them their own post! : ) Devin certainly is talented and I hear the ‘apple’ doesn’t fall too far from the tree! Devin mentioned you whipped up beautiful wreaths in such a short time. : )
Thanks so much for commenting and visiting the blog.
I’m so excited for the big day!
