Chris and Meg’s song to their first dance sums up their love and their day perfectly…
“Wanna pack your bags, something small..
Take what you need and we disappear without a trace.
We’ll be gone, gone. The moon and the stars can follow the car and then when we get to the ocean we’re gonna take a boat to the end of the world. All the way to the end of the world.
Oh, and when the kids are old enough, we’re gonna teach them to fly. You and me together, we could do anything. Baby you and me together.
You and I, we’re not tied to the ground. Not falling, but rising like rolling around. Eyes closed above the rooftops. Eyes closed, we’re gonna spin through the stars.
Our arms wide as the sky, we gonna ride the blue all the way to the end of the world, to the end of the world…
We can always look back at what we did, all these memories of you and me baby. But right now it’s you and me forever girl, and you know we could do better than anything that we did.You know that me and you can do anything…”

and sooo they did!

Meg’s Grandfather helped hang this cross many years ago.

This was one of the most beautiful churches I have ever been in. The architecture was just mesmerizing….

The moment…

From the marble floor….

then up in the balcony…

Sealed with a kiss…

History in the making…
Three generations.
That’s Meg’s Grandparents, her folks and the happy couple!

Meg and Chris decided to greet their guests at cocktail hour rather then doing a receiving line.
While they snuck away, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity…

The venue was at the View in Oakdale…

Some of you may remember their engagement session at Fire Island?
We did a fun guest book, and they added a few images to a great frame to accompany the seating cards.

Checking out the bling…

weeeeeee….

First dance…

The lovely flowers were by Bayport Flower House.
Chris played their song with the band…

Jammin’

I looove seeing people have a good time. It’s such an awesome perk.

Daddy’s little girl…

Happiness…

The favors…

And then we were off to Fire Island…
where it all started for them.

Meg practically grew up on boats…

Just as the sun was going down we reached the Island…

Thank you Meg and Chris for giving me the fabulous opportunity to document your happy day. It was so exciting for me to experience a little bit more of Fire Island. Your day was quite awesome with such great music, amazing views, sailing on the ocean…and tons of happiness! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for having me along for the ride sail. ; )

OH MY GOD Stacey!!!! They are more beautiful than I could ever have imagined! Thank you so much! These pictures mean SO MUCH to us, especially since Hurricane Sandy destroyed all but the church. Thank you for preserving these memories for us!!!!

September 15 is a great wedding day! 😉 you both looked amazing and super happy
Beautiful pictures for a beautiful couple! Xoxo
Beautiful photography; beautiful subjects. All photos enhanced by the gorgeous, smiling faces of Meghan and Chris. We may forget sometimes just how imposing and grand is St. Patrick’s Church but these photos remind us brilliantly. The line-up of 3 beautiful blonde brides and 3 handsome young grooms walking the same aisle of St. Pat’s on their wedding days in 1947, 1977 and 2012 is so special a part of this gallery that it almost made me cry — with tears of happiness because these pictures are so touching and dear and special times a million. Thank you! Love, Peg
Aww Mrs. Hafele…thank you for such kind words. It was such a beautiful day. I was so honored to have had the opportunity to be a fly on the wall! ; ) Thank you for taking the time to stop by and leave your thoughts. It means the world to me to hear them. : ) S
